Previous Numbers   : D3415
Status                     : Scrapped
Current Livery         : Russell Yellow  ( doesn't carry any numbers )
Notes                      : Does not currently have any type of coupling fitted.

Withdrawn November 1983 at Ayr TMD.

After being sold on by BR, the shunter was purchased by the J G Russell Group, based at Hillingdon. 08345 was the first of four shunters to arrive at the Glasgow site, being deposited in May 1985.

Because of the demise in rail traffic, all four shunters were stood out of use at the Deanside Transit complex for a while. 08345 was the fourth and last to leave, being transferred to Long Marston in late June 2007. Like the others, the move was for a possible overhaul, plus temporary safe storage. However, due to the condition of the loco, it would not be cost effective to pursue with the idea, so it was dumped with the rest of the stored locos. Whilst residing at the former MoD base, Motorail Logistics became its new owners.

On the 4th November 2009, and after being dumped at Long Marston for well over two years, 08345 was finally removed by road. Leaving Warwickshire for Rotherham, the yellow liveried 08, was taken north to CF Booth's for scrapping. Just nine days after arriving at the scrapyard, 08345's rotting body and chassis, was finally put out of its misery, being disposed of on the 13th.
