Whilst operating in Wembley Yard, 08482 was placed into store on the 8th May 2004. On the 27th though and with repairs completed, it was reinstated to traffic. During early summer, it had made its way down to Willesden, being used as the depot pilot. Whilst there, it experienced faults, so on the 28th June, it was once again stored. Back up and running again, it was reinstated to the WSLN pool and traffic on the 23rd August, before being tripped the short distance to Old Oak Common. With repairs needed once again, the 5th October saw 08482, put into store.

For some unknown reason, the 08 has had a car number plate attached to its cab end, the registration being M16 LJL. This belongs to a 2002 2.9LTR BMW, so quite why it's on 08482, is anybodys guess!

Latterly piloting the yard at Eastleigh, sometime in early July 2009, it was moved to the depot area for repairs. On completion though, 08482 was returned to the yard.
