Previously working at Trafford Park FLT, it was transferred south to Southampton Maritime on the 19th May 2007, where it currently resides.

Sometime early morning on the 14th July 2008, 08575 was involved in a shunting accident with 66572 and 08077 at Southampton Maritime, which resulted in both shunters being pushed through the buffers. At the time, it was unclear to what damage 08575 had substained in the incident. Further inspection at the TMD, found that the damage wasn't too bad, so after minor repairs on site, it was back up and running again.
