Notes : Officially stored on the 5th February 2004 at Doncaster Carr TMD. On completion of repairs, 08623 was moved by road from South Yorkshire on the 24th April, deposited at Trafford Park FLT the same day. Before leaving Doncaster, it was reinstated to traffic and the WSWM pool. With it being out of use and following the arrival of 08776 at Trafford Park, 08623 was stored WNTR on the 5th July. Road transport arrived on the 12th July for the ailing 08, and it was due to go to Wigan Springs Branch, but due to the fiasco with 08567's low loader not gaining entry to the depot, it was deposited at Allerton instead.

08623 left Temple Mills for Toton sometime in early November 2006, where it spent nearly 7 months dumped in the yard.

By the 2nd July 2007, it arrived at Timperley for the Manchester Metrolink rebuild. Around the 9th September, 08623 left for Doncaster Carr, from where it spent its time stored in the depot area. Date unknown, but 08623 was outbased at Tinsley Yard for a time.

On the evening of the 4th February 2009, 08623 was removed from Tinsley Yard by 09106, which was there for bringing in its replacement, 08802, from Doncaster Carr. 08623 was then taken to Doncaster, from where it received an exam. Following completion, 08623 was taken back to Tinsley on the ??, from where it currently resides.
