08700 ( D3867 ) - Bury Buckley Wells, ELR - 16.9.07

Previous Numbers   : D3867
Status                     : Preserved  ( owner - East Lancs Railway )
Current Livery         : BR black  ( carries its pre-tops number D3867 )
Previous Names      : Walsall  * unofficial *
Notes                      : Withdrawn September 1993 at Stratford TMD.

Previously residing at Carnforth, the former HNRC owned 08700, was sold on to a Wigan based private buyer, sometime towards the middle of June 2004. Due to the new owner not having rail connection, the 08 was removed from Carnforth on the 22nd June, and was taken to the Embasy & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, to where it was deposited the next day.

Currently at the East Lancs Railway.
