Whilst at Allerton TMD, on the 27th February 2004, 08737 was officially put into store.

Previously at Trafford Park FLT, 08737 was moved by road on the 5th February 2009, being deposited at Warrington Arpley the same day. Its movement west, was due to the loco requiring a A exam, and once completed, it was earmarked for a return back to Manchester.
Whilst undergoing repairs, 08737 was put into store WNTR on the 19th February. With the completion of its exam, it was loaded and removed by road on the 30th March, en-route back to Trafford Park. Back in active traffic, the 08 was reinstated from store, moving to the WSSN pool on the 3rd April. On the move away out of Manchester, 08737 was removed from Trafford Park by road, arriving at Toton on the 10th November, shortly after midday. A period in store will most likely be the outcome, once an assessment is complete. As expected, the shunter was officially taken out of traffic, being stored WNTR on the 13th November.
