Previous Numbers : D4149
Status : Scrapped
Current Livery : RES
Previous Names : Cadeby * unofficial *, Steep Holm
Pool Code : WNSO
Notes : During a ceremony held at Bristol Barton Hill TMD, 08919 was named Steep Holm by John Withy, a supervisor at the depot. Taking place on the 13th December 1995, this was one of three shunters in the area, to be named after islands in the Bristol Channel.
Officialy stored on the 5th February 2004 at Old Oak Common T&RSMD.
Sometime towards the end of December 2008, EWS made 08919 available for sale. CF Booth's purchased the shunter, and on the 8th January, it was extracted from the Old Oak Common turntable, leaving West London by road, en-route to its new home in Rotherham.
Whilst still at CF Booth's, it was rumoured to have been sold on to an unknown buyer. Unless the deal had fallen through, this was not the case, as on the 2nd July 2009, it succumbed to the cutters torch and was scrapped.
