Although still seeing use at Hull, 09107 was stored WNTR on the 4th August 2004. The 28th however, it was officially stood down from traffic. Near enough one month on, it was reinstated to the WSNE pool, being accepted for traffic on the 21st September. Removal by road, sometime around the 4th October, it deposited at Doncaster Carr, to where it was transferred to WNTR again, being stored on the 5th.

Previously at Motherwell, 09107 left for Deanside Transit, Glasgow, sometime in late April / early May 2008. On the 15th May, it was seen heading down the A1 on a low loader en-route to Doncaster Carr. On the 1st June, it was officially put into store. Following just over 5 months out of use, it was reinstated to traffic on the 11th November. Whilst at Doncaster, it recieved an overhaul and repainting. It is now sporting the EWS colours, superceeding its previous Departmental grey livery. Sometime around the 6th December, 09107 was admitted to Doncaster Carr TMD, to undergo repairs to a faulty auxiliary generator. During this time, it was also placed on decision, its future rather uncertain. On the 16th December, 09107 was stored WNTS at Doncaster Carr TMD.

The 10th March 2009, saw 09107 transfer from WNTS to the WNTR pool at Doncaster Carr.
