Because of the Teesport discussion going slightly off topic, i thought it would be better to start with a new thread, dedicated to these shunters.

There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding this one Rob.

According to this months Today's Railways magazine, 632 / 687 has been moved from Teesport to the MRC. According to them, it carries H046 #9. This appears also to be in green, not RMS blue / grey.

The one in your photo however, various searches across the web, has found that this is also 632 / 687, but carries H043 #16.

Short of emailing RMS Locotec directly to found out what is what, i can't come up with any more answers for its identity.

Very likely Rob. I'm guessing here, but the green one ( 632 / 687 ) left for the Midland Railway Centre, and 08885 was sent north from March to replace it.

To get things straight then, the Teesport shunters are leased out by RMS to PD Ports LTD. 08885 is owned by RMS, it's not needed at March any longer, so has replaced the MRC bound shunter.

Hope thats right, cause its giving me a headache  Confused   Rolling Eyes

687 & 692 both ex-Teesport, are MiddlePeak Locos - they were leased up there.

called in on my jaunt to nottingham .
you are right , it is no 9 from teesport minus the white cabside rfs logo.

if the logo,s ripped off does that mean its no longer rfs . has it been  returned back to m/peak, off hire.

and the extra third spotlight on the cab roof.[teesport requirments]
