Yesterday (saturday 3rd october) we overtook a low loader carrying a Ruston Hornsby shunter north up the M6, around Knutsford services; anyone any ideas? It was a bigish beastie, (class 03/04 size) probably standard gauge; possibly dark green! and had Lot26 (or maybe Lot28) painted on one side. As it was almost dark I can't tell you anymore about it!
dont know if this will help or hinder but ive just seen a green shunter in EMR Kingsbury, passed it at speed and it was dark so cant give anymore details really.

One in amongst the scrap with a painted number 7 on the side, loco about the same size as their old one named Kingsbury.
They have a newer shunter there , it looks ex MOD . big and bulky thing. _________________ You cannot beat a bit of Sulzer Thrash !

I've not seen this one before, it was stood by the rail entrance gate.... but it was around 03:00 and I passed it at 60mph so didn't get a great look.
This is S10040/1960 '7' ex Barrington Cement Works. The IRS reckon that there should be a second shunter here as well (also green) GECT 5578 but I only saw the one last night.
Judging by it's position I reckon it is not sitting on the rail tracks..
