As from the end of this month, i will be compiling a comphrensive list of all moves and pool transfers into one topic. It'll certainly make it a bit easier for me, which is good  Cool

What i'm planning to do, is to keep the topic locked and make it a sticky, meaning that it will be always at the top of the page. I will be the only one who can reply to the topic, adding the details at the end of each month.

Just for an example, this is how i think it will look. Of course, if anybody has any other ideas, don't be shy in replying.

Obviously, the subject of the topic will be November, then December etc. Each shunter will have a hyperlink, taking you to the relevant photos and notes page. Once the end of November is upon us, this particular topic will be deleted.

Please let me know what you think.

Steve....I think it's a great idea.

One reference point month by month summarising all confirmed movements through sightings.

This pulls together all the great work and effort by yourself and members which, sometimes,is difficult to keep on top of as on many different threads(love the hyperlink bit).

Perhaps keep each month a bit longer....delete after three months...maybe six

A great addition to an already tremendous site.

Excellent idea Steve.  Would suggest, however, keeping the data live for 12 months as this would provide a useful reference tool.

I really should've worded that a little bit better. I've no itention of deleting the months topics, just my original post. Thinking about it, i'll keep this topic live, making it a normal topic, not just an announcement. This way, if any more ideas come up from you guys, then you can keep on posting on here.

Soz for the confusion  Embarassed

Also, i will still be adding the stored and reinstatements to the relevants topics, so you guys can still keep up to date with the news, and not having to wait until the end of the month.

Thanks for all your kind words  Wink

Right then guys ( and gals ), i've made a start on the monthly updates. It'll be finished off over the next day or so, time permitting.

Let us know what you think - is the layout ok, are they spaced out enough ?

Any comments will be much appreciated.

I'm no techno whizz but am looking at getting a mobile phone that will have access to the internet in the near future. Confused  So, before you get in to deep is there anyone out there that already has said mobile device that could check the layout of the Monthly Updates page so far. Repoting back at an early stage with regards to it's layout on the small screen, could then prove to be a big help to anyone who is out in "the field" at a later date, without the need for a re-hash.

The things people ask for in these days of Modern Technology. Rolling Eyes

Thanks in advance.
