As from the 19th April 2007, it was stored unserviceable at Southampton Maritime.
Sometime early morning on the 14th July 2008, 08077 was involved in a shunting accident with 66572 and 08575 at Southampton Maritime, which resulted in both shunters being pushed through the buffers. 08077 suffered a little damage to the cab and also to the underframe. It was due to be sanctioned for an overhaul by Freightliner, but unfortunately, it looks like it will be scrapped sometime in the near future. During the afternoon of the 1st August, 08077 was deposited at the LH Group for a possible overhaul and repairs to its collision damage. Dumped in the compound ever since its arrival, repairs was not sanctioned after an assessment, and the 08 is being currently used as a spares donor.
