Withdrawn September 1983 at Cardiff Canton T&RSMD.
After being dumped at Swindon Works, 08195 was purchased for preservation by the Llangollen Railway, taken away by road on the 23rd March 1987. Sometime after arrival in North Wales, its previous BR blue livery was replaced with the BR green colours, and it was reunited with its pre-tops number, D3265. Date unknown of when it was applied, but the 08 now carries BR black at the Llangollen Railway.
