Previously at Peak Forest, 08393 was transferred to Doncaster Carr on the 17th October 2008, from where it was put into store on the 20th October. During its period in store, it recieved a C exam, prior to it being released back into traffic. With the completion of its exam, 08393 was reinstated back to traffic on the 14th December, still at Doncaster Carr.
On the 13th January 2009, 08393 left Doncaster Carr by road, to Daventry IRFT, from where it was unloaded later on in the day. It was only going to be at Daventry for a short period, while the usual pilot, 08701, was away at Bescot for repairs. This turned out to be a longer stay though, as 08701 was taken to Hams Hall instead. Sometime in the early evening, 08393 was removed from the IRFT on the 13th August. Moving by road, it left Daventry for Bescot, to where it was deposited at the TMD. With assesment due to take place, a period in store will most probably happen shortly.
Update: As expected, the EWS liveried shunter was transferred to store, moving from WSSN to WNTS on the 25th September. During this period, it was consequently moved away from the depot area, being dumped in the south yard at Bescot, where it stayed for a few weeks, before being moved back to the depot area.
