Whilst languishing at Deanside Transit, Glasgow, 08411 was put into store on the 10th March 2004. Five days later though, it was reinstated back into traffic. Sometime around the 24th April, it was taken south by road to Motherwell, from where it was transferred into the WSXX pool and further storage on the 25th. It was back on the move again on the 12th September, when it was loaded and removed, departing Scotland for Liverpool, to where it was deposited at Allerton TMD, later on in the day.
Transferred to the Colne Valley Railway from Goodman's Yard on the 30th March 2007, where it currently resides. Has yet to be classed as a preserved loco.
