Notes : On the 8th November 1984, 08525 was named 'Percy the pilot' at York station. This was to co-incide with the opening a new main entrance at the station. The wooden nameplate, unveiled by the then Secretary for State for Transport, David Mitchell MP, was removed the next month.
On the 27th January 2004, 08525 was transported by road from Neville Hill to Doncaster for repairs / overhaul. Released from Wabtec shortly before its departure, it was outshopped in Maintrain blue, superceeding its previous two tone grey livery. On the 21st June, it was loaded and taken by road back to Neville Hill, to where it was deposited shortly after. Due to problems with the 08 though, it was returned to Doncaster on the 1st July, for rectification.
Currently at Neville Hill T&RSMD, it is used as a spares donor, usually parked in the main shed, adjacent to the mainline.
