Previously at Tilbury, was transported up to the LH Group during February 2008 for repairs / attention. On the 30th July and with a completed overhaul, 08531 left the LH Group, en-route back to Tilbury FLT. By the next morning, it was deposited at its former home, replacing the Southampton bound and former pilot, 08585.
With repairs due, 08531 was loaded late evening at Tilbury on the 2nd April 2009. Next morning, it was on its way north from Essex by road, being deposited at the LH Group later in the day. Repairs all completed at the LH Group, 08531 left Barton under Needwood, mid morning on the 19th August. Being deposited at Trafford Park FLT shortly after, it replaced the defective and out of use previous pilot, 08873.
Update Sometime around the 1st week of December, the 08 was removed from Trafford Park by road, being deposited at Tilbury FLT, where it joined sister F / Liner shunter, 08691.
