Sometime around the early part of December 2008, EWS put a number of shunters up for sale. Just after xmas, 08582 was purchased by CF Booth's.
On the 18th March 2009, it left Doncaster Carr by road, and taken the short distance to Booth's. It was rumoured that another buyer was interested in taking over the ownership of 08582. This deal failed to happen though, so work started on the shunter. Sometime around the 24th July 2009, the disposal was complete and the 08 was finally scrapped at Booth's.
