Previous Numbers : D3754
Status : Stored
Current Livery : EWS
Pool Code : WNSO
Notes : Whilst at Tinsley yard, it was put into store on the 5th February 2004. By the 19th March, it was taken away by road and deposited at Doncaster Carr. After seeing use around the depot complex for just under a few weeks, on the 4th, it was removed and taken to the cement works at Ketton, replacing the Old Oak Common bound and former pilot, 08879. On arrival at Ketton, 08587 was reinstated to traffic and the WSEM pool.
Officially stored in August 2006, it spent some considerable time residing at Margam storage yard, suffering from collision damage.
Sometime just after xmas 2008, 08587 was purchased from EWS to TJ Thomson's.
On the 29th January 2009, it was loaded on to road transport at Margam, ready for its departure north to Stockton. A day later, it left South Wales, en-route for the Midlands, from where it spent the weekend at Goodman's Yard, before completing the rest of its journey to the North East on the 4th February.
