Notes : Whilst residing at Wabtec for a long period, sometime around the beginning of 2004, 08648 was admitted to the workshops for an overhaul, this being the first time in 15 years that it last recieved one. On the 14th April, it was outshopped in all yellow with half black cabsides. Whilst there, it also had the auto coupler equipment fitted. On its release, 08648 was due to go on a 3 year hire contract with Brunner Mond ( formerly ICI ) at Winnington.
Currently operating as one of the Doncaster Wabtec pilots.
