With repairs completed, the EWS liveried 08 was reinstated to traffic on the 25th August, transferring to the WSGW fleet pool. Latterly at Westbury, it was transferred to Margam for repairs on the 13th December 2007.
After completion, sometime in early February 2008, 08714 had turned up at Newport ADJ, where it stayed until the 26th June. Due to the arrival of 08770 at ADJ, 08714 was taken away by road and deposited at Wolverhampton Steel Terminal, arriving in the Black Country on the 27th June.
