After suffering faults at Wembley Yard, 08775 was put into store and the WNTR pool on the 25th April 2004.
Latterly used as the yard pilot, 08775 left Warrington by road on the 28th March 2007, being deposited at Dee Marsh. With the shunting contract being taken over by RMS, it left Cheshire for Bescot on the 13th December, where it was consequently dumped at the rear of the depot.
On the 9th May 2008, was officially stored at Bescot TMD. Sometime during the end of December, 08775 was purchased by CF Booth's, following EWS's decision to put it up for sale.
On the morning of the 15th January 2009, 08775 was removed from Bescot by road and taken to Rotherham for scrapping. Its disposal didn't go through though, as it was resold for preservation to an unknown buyer. By the 11th April 2009, it was being prepared for removal from Booth's. With the re-sale falling through in early May, the heavily robbed shell of 08775, was finally cut up on the 18th June.
