Notes : Fitted with TPWS.
On the 25th January 2004 and whilst undergoing repairs, 08776 was fitted with the TPWS equipment at Toton TMD. Still at Toton, on the 27th February, it was put into store. Taken away by road on the 14th March, 08776 left the East Midlands for Eastleigh, where it was deposited the next day. On the 17th, it was reinstated back into traffic. July 2nd, saw the 08 leave Eastleigh by road, and taken north to Trafford Park, to where it was unloaded at the FLT. After suffering from unknown faults, road transport arrived for the ailing 08 on the 11th November, and it was removed and taken south to Crewe, being deposited shortly after. On arrival at the EMD, it was stored WNTS
From Wabtec, the 08 was despatched to Knottingley on the 26th November 2006 to cover for 09021. By the 27th December though, it was back in Doncaster, operating in the Decoy Yard.
After residing at Doncaster Carr for sometime, it was officially put into store on the 14th May 2007. On the 24th July, it was on the move by road, leaving South Yorkshire for Thornaby, to where it was deposited at Tees Yard shortly after.
On the 3rd November 2008, 08776 was put into store at Tees Yard, but still continued to see use. Shortly after though, it was moved to Thornaby TMD, where it is currently inside the shed.
