Previously at Midland Road, 08868 left Leeds on the 28th July 2004, en-route to Felixstowe. On the 24th November though, it was back on the road, leaving for Crewe. Being deposited at the LNWR site, it recieved a major overhaul whilst there.
Sometime during mid December 2009, 08868 recieved a repaint into the LNWR light and dark grey, superceeding its previous BR blue livery.
Currently operates at Crewe LNWR.
