On the 4th April 2008, 08881 had turned up at the Gloucestershire / Warwickshire Railway, its departmental grey livery, replaced by the more traditional BR green. Sometime around mid December though, 08881 was removed from Mountsorrell, and taken by road to the Gloucester / Warwickshire Railway, to where it was deposited shortly after.
