Whilst at Dagenham, 08907 was stored WNTR on the 9th May 2004, although it still continued to see use in the yard. By the 27th though, it was reinstated back to traffic. Sometime around the end of June, it left Dagenham by road, deposited at Temple Mills shortly after. On the 1st June, it was back in store again. The 10th September saw 08907 once again on the move. Removed by road, it left for Sheerness, from where it was reinstated to WSLS and traffic, the next day.
Previously at Daventry IRFT, 08907 was transferred to Bescot by road on the 17th November 2007 for repairs / attention. By the 16th December and all work completed, it was deposited back at Daventry, where it stayed for just under four months.
Sometime in the 2nd week of May 2008, it was back at Bescot for more work to be carried out. After what seemed to be an age for its repairs to be finished, 08907 was released from the TMD in early September, and was put to use in and around the north yard at Bescot.
With 08709 being used as a spares donor at Bescot, its Molly's Day nameplate was removed in early March 2009, and given to sister loco, 08907. Due to 08393 being taken out of traffic at the IRFT, 08907 was removed by road on the 13th August, leaving Bescot early afternoon. En-route to Daventry, the EWS liveried 08 was deposited at the FLT shortly after. Sometime around the 30th September, road transport arrived for 08907, and it was loaded for departure to Bescot. The next day, the 1st October, it was officially put to store, initially moving from WSSN to WFMU, before being placed in the WNTR pool.
