Whilst at Dee Marsh, 08909 was put into store on the 4th April 2004. By the 15th though, it was reinstated back to traffic and the WSWM pool. Just a week into May, saw 08909 put back into store again. Although it still continued to see use in the yard, it was transferred to the WSXX storage pool on the 9th. Its status continued to yo-yo, because on the 27th, it was once again reinstated, still at Dee Marsh. Its reprieve didn't last long though, as on the 2nd July, it was returned to store.
The former Ketton cement works pilot, 08909, was stored on the 28th April 2008 at Doncaster Carr. Following completion of its E exam at the TMD, it was reinstated back to traffic on the 16th July 2008.
Currently, it can be found piloting Doncaster Wood and Decoy Yards.
