08954 was loaded and removed from Shotton on the 29th April 2004, being deposited at Warrington the same day. Just a few days after its arrival at Arpley, it was officially put into store on the 4th May, transferring from WSWM to the WSXX pool.
Latterly at Allerton, where it spent some considerable time stored inside the TMD, 08954 left Liverpool by road on the evening of the 8th September 2009. Following an overnight stop-over near Warrington, the 08 continued its journey to Toton, where it was unloaded mid morning.
