Previous Numbers : D4107
Status : Active
Current Livery : Mainline Blue
Pool Code : WSSI
Notes : Whilst out of use at Harwich Parkeston Quay, 09019 was stored WNTR on the 2nd May 2004. On the 13th however, it left Suffolk by road, being deposited at St. Blazey the next day. On arrival, it was reinstated to the WSMR pool and traffic, replacing the usual pilot, 09016, which was suffering from shifted cranks.
Latterly at St. Blazey, it was taken by road to Eastleigh in May 2007 for repairs / attention. Due to the lack of work at St. Blazey, a shunter was no longer needed, so 09019 was put into use at Eastleigh yard, where it currently resides today. It's quite frequently seen, tripping engineers wagons through Eastleigh station.
On the 10th June 2008, 09019 derailed at the entrance to Eastleigh Yard. It suffered very little damage, and within days, it was back shunting in the yard.
Sometime around the 7th April 2009, 09019 suffered unknown faults and was replaced in Eastleigh yard by 08804, which had been summoned from the depot. Due to the 09 being admitted to Eastleigh TMD for repairs, on the 24th April, it was stored WNTR. Around 13.00, 09019 left Eastleigh by road on the 18th May, en-route north to Doncaster Carr, to where it was unloaded the next day. Although still officially stored, 09019 left Doncaster Carr on the 22nd July, leaving South Yorkshire early morning. Heading north, it was rumoured to be deposited at Scunthorpe Anchor Yard shortly after, replacing the defective 08735. This, however, was not the case, as the 09 was taken to the Reception Sidings at Immingham. Two days after its arrival, the Mainline liveried shunter was reinstated to traffic and WSSI, officially transferring pools on the 24th July.
