On the 24th October 1999, 09105 was at Margam with collision damage. The same day, it was removed by road to Cardiff Canton for assessment. On the 2nd November though, it was placed on decision.
After previously working at the Knuckle yard, 09105 spent the best part of April and May 2008 at Margam TMD, undergoing a D exam.
On the 23rd July, 09105 left Margam by road, en-route to Newport ADJ, to where it was deposited later on.
Sometime in February 2009, the 09 was transferred to store, moving from WSSN to the WNTS pool. On the afternoon of the 20th March, 09105 left ADJ, being deposited at Goodman's Yard, from where it spent the weekend. On the following monday, the 23rd, it was taken to the Chasewater Railway. With it being there for testing, 08530 needed a low loader for its trip south to Southampton, so 09105 arrived, was unloaded and 08530 utilised the transport. The hauliers arrived back in the Midlands the next morning ( 24th ), and 09105 was reloaded back on the trailer. Sometime around dinner time, it left for South Yorkshire, being deposited at Doncaster Carr early evening.
