On the 22 November 2006, it was removed from Knottingley and taken to Thornaby TMD for repairs / attention, with 09104 providing spares. With repairs complete, 09201 was released and transported back to Knottingley at the beginning of December.
The shunter can be found mostly at Milford Junction, but often trips to Knottingley during the week.
