Notes : Withdrawn December 1972 at Gloucester TMD.
Previously at the Brighton Pullman Museum, D3255 was removed on the 7th September 2008, involving 73206 and plenty of hard work and patience. Once it was taken to the nearby EMD at Brighton, it was then loaded onto road transport, before being despatched to the Colne Valley Railway, from where it was thought to be undergoing restoration. This was not the case, as it was sold on to an unknown scrap merchant.
On the 26th August 2009, D3255 was loaded and removed from Castle Hedingham, en-route for the North East. Rumoured to be re-sold to Thomson's, it continued its journey north on the 27th, following an overnight stop-over. The rumour proved to be wrong however, as D3255 was unloaded at a private location near York, not Thomson's as first thought.
