Crikey, you could have spaced it out a little, Martin. Made my eyes hurt, did that
Couple of things for you to ponder over.
Worksop - Hit and miss with this one. Only really one decent vantage point, this being behind Tesco's. If there are no wagons about, then you might have a chance. Seeing the roof is about all your gonna get though really. Even on a passing train, you ain't guaranteed to see it.
Tinsley - 08623 is usually parked in the steel works complex during the weekend, and decent vantage points for here, are virtually nil.
Roberts Road - Same as Tinsley really. 08527 is locked in the shed during the weekends, especially on sundays.
Allely's - On driving into the yard, only 08699 is visible. This is stuck in the middle of the other locos, on your left. The other 08 on site, 08809, is around the back of the site, well away from the entrance. You can't see it from the main road either, due to the bloody great fence they've erected !
Long Marston - You have missed out 08517 amongst your list. This was parked next to 08668.
There you go kid

Cheers-will put more spaces in for next time -08633 not visible from Tesco's so assume in shed-same for 527-told not visible from passing train so assume inside.
Could only view Alleyes from gate therefore not head on to be able to view 08-thanks for update re 08517.
Only question is re Tinsley 08-in past either seen at Tinsley(went right along bank and not there)or Masborough sidings at weekends-which steel sidings do you mean -thanks Martin

I did hear a while back that 08633 might be in the shed at weekends. They certainly don't make it easy for us, do they
As for Allely's, that's a shame, as the guys are brilliant there. That's assumming you can find someone. I popped in on saturday morning before the open day, and there wasn't a soul about. I don't like just wondering around, so got what i could see from by the entrance, and headed off.

If you stand on the bridge by where the old TMD was and look towards the yard, the steel works are on your left. As far as i'm aware, the 08 doesn't venture away from the yard, so unless you plan to visit in the week, i'm afraid this one will continue to elude you. Bit like the Worksop 08 really

Cheers-going that way again in July so will take a non-weekend trip to Tinsley/Worksop/Donny and pop into Studley on the way home.On another note, the gates at Wishaw are automatic-your directions were great but the buggers shut behind me after I was in -might want to warn others -Martin

I didn't know that, cheers. I will add that to the directions section. To be honest, i've always gone in the other way, via the farm gates. These tend to be shut on a sunday though.
MartinHarrison
They were shut when we were there and the lady living in the house adjacent wouldn't answer the door to us when we knocked to see if we could be let out so we had to call some guy on a mobile-the crazy thing was he was leaving as we went in but he didn't let us know the gates were automatic and not to drive in.You can walk into the site from both directions around the gates-moral of the story is if you are going on a Sunday, leave your car outside and walk in-there was no-one there and those that are there ignore you anyway anyhow, got 08503 so the hassle was worth it -Martin
