Potter Group 08's

I've just had a report, stating that both 08202 and 08598 are at Doncaster Carr. I'm pretty sure that rail movements at Knowsley have ceased, so moving the shunters on, would make sense. But to drop them of at Donny doesn't make any sense, as they are both owned by RMS.

Now, this gen isn't the most reliable, so it probably ain't going to be true, but he reckons both are on Doncaster Carr. Both have the unmistakable Potter yellow livery, which obviously are going to stand out.

I'm not due a trip up north yet, so i need your help on this one guys.

Re: Potter Group 08's

Hi,
I could not see the yellow shunters yesterday on Donny.
Some of the doors were open and you could see a couple of shunters inside, but they looked like red one's.

As i thought. I did think it was strange to find the pair on Carr. Wabtec maybe, but Carr, not a chance.

Question is - now that rail movements has ceased at the Potter Group, will the two 08's be offered for sale by RMS, or move on elsewhere ?

i hope it's the latter, cause i'm fed up of going to Knowsley, and finding the buggers inside  Rolling Eyes

08598 and 08202 are still definitely at Knowsley, and having sought permission, I was able to photograph them yesterday.

The gate was open, so I first tried the security cabin and office block, but both were locked and shut.

However, a member of staff drove in and told me to go up to the warehouse and ask there.  There I found another member of staff, who let me in for a quick photograph.

They are parked pretty much behind the roller doors.

It's not as if they have been sitting in a yard somewhere, not protected from the elements, so pretty good i would imagine.

Being a little selfish, i wish they would let them rot outside, cause i'm fed up of travelling all the way up there, and finding bugger all  Crying or Very sad
