How jammy are you! In all the times i've visited the EMD, this bugger's never in view  Rolling Eyes

Ta for your sightings though, much appreciated  Wink

These sighting were assisted with good fortune.
The gates to the business park were open and nobody was working in the area.
It was possible, with binos,to view 08824 [distinctive black]facing the depot doors and 09203 is virtually adjacent to the perimeter fencing,on the stored line, near the Crewe to Chester running line.
Ironically,I had seen a recent report of these sightings from Flag Lane bridge.Well,I tried to look from this bridge, and unless you are 8 feet tall and have a neck like a giraffe,I found it impossible!!
Perhaps I was looking in the wrong place!!
All the best,Frank..

We all need good fortune kidda. With hardly any decent vantage points, i find the EMD, one of the hardest depots to view. All you see is the same row of stored electrics  Sad

I've never really had the time to stop and have a good look from here, as i always arrive just as the gates are to be closed. Either that, or the dam things are already locked !! I might have to try during the week, i think.

Funnily enough, on my last visit, 3 guys were on the bridge, one of them standing on a milk crate. Unfortunately for him, even on tip toes, he wasn't quite tall enough to see over the wall. And the other guys were shorter than him aswell  Laughing

I've been to the business park about a dozen times and only once seen the gates shut - on bank holiday Monday at the start of May this year!
There certainly used to be someone working there on Sundays in the last two years, although with the recession I 'spose this may have changed (not been on a Sunday this year)

Ignoring the two rows of electrics with 90050 (now one row of electrics and one of 58s/56s), carry on to the back corner of the yard, where there is another row of electrics and 09203 on its own in clear view in this area..

Re Flag Lane bridge - I climbed on the bin last time in the centre of the bridge which gave me a fairly decent vantage point to see 08824 (although I wasn't really steady enough to pick up numbers I could see an overview of what was there).
