ScunnyWent on the three hour tour round the Scunthorpe Steel Works system this afternoon.
Outside their depot was 02 D2853, 03 D2128 both in BR Green. Inside were BR Blue 07012 and black D3000. Stabled on the NR sidings was EWS liveried 08735. I thought 08685 was there as well, but the guide stated that has left the area.
For those into industrials there are two types of 0-6-0 diesel shunter at the Corus plant Janus 450HP and the more powerful Hunslet 1124HP shunters. I don’t know how many they have in total, but we saw about a dozen, with numbers ranging from 51 to 95.

Re: Scunny
Thanks for that Mart. I'd still got the 03 at the Dean Forest Railway

Nah, it hasn't been at Scunthorpe for quite a while now. When it was active ( stored now ), 735 & 685 swopped quite frequently between Scunny and Immingham. Unfortunately, 685 is currently gathering seagull poo at Immingham
