There are no shunters at Maritime, which are in blue. Apart from 745, all the others are in the F / Liner livery. Bit confused with this one

Think it was black, but can't remember for certain - apparently the two may have been together, but from end on, I could only see one.

No, I'm pretty certain it was just under a sheet, but the bloke next to me kept asking what the blue one was which confused me.

Doing a bit of search, it looks likely that it may have 08482, which was operating at the south end of yard. It has also got a number plate attached to the front of the cab aswell, making it a bit more distinctive.

I've got a bit of a theory on this one. It may well be 08826. Since its supposed arrival at Ropley, i've not had a single confirmation, including an email from guys who work there !!
So i reckon that the one you saw at Maritime, may be 08826. It's blue and is covered by a tarpulin, which kinda suggests that it has / is being robbed of spares and is being protected from the weather.
That's the only answer i can come up with really.

Saturday 23rd May. Seen at Southampton Maritime at 0815hrs. before going to EH open day. 08530 at far end of shed. 08575 close to road bridge. 08624 working. 08745 down the other end (southampton end) of yard
seen at Eastleigh station area were 08482 and 08804. Identified on EH depot was 08765

I can't be certain it was under a tarp - twas a heat haze and I wasn't chasing the shunter numbers, so I wasn't overly bothered.
But it was at the far end.
