Another one added to the list is 08776 at Tees Yard. Stored on the 3rd November. Now, this a strange one, cause the WNXX website, states that it has been a non runner since May. Surely this is incorrect. I'm sure its been active fairly recently.
Has anyone got any local knowledge on this one ?

As you said Rob, all the shunters and the 56's for that matter, are safely locked up inside.
Is 08776 still working in Tees Yard. It's supposed to be stored

I've never been to Dawsons, so i don't know the ins and outs of the complex. The bit about the container. Does that mean nothing can get in or out of the site then? By that, i mean by rail.

A few more to bite the dust, as it were.
On the 8th December, 08630, 08664, 08922 and 09101, were all put into store.
All three are currently undergoing repairs at Margam and at Doncaster Carr respectively. Once these are completed, i would imagine EWS will reinstate them back to traffic.
Another one put into store is 09017 ( 9th Dec ). As of yet, i have not heard anything, in regards to whether it is due to undergo repairs, so for me, this seems a little strange. 09105 is the other pilot down at ADJ, and i don't know whether it is fitted with TPWS, and if not, then EWS won't have a shunter to do the trip workings between ADJ and East Usk.
Brian and Martin, do you guys have any knowledge on this one and the current situation at ADJ?

08630 is stored in the Battery Road at Margam Depot and no repair work is being currently undertaken and none as far as I am aware is planned. If 08646 or 08770 have a serious failure then 08630 may be repaired.
09017 has been stored unserviceable and maybe as a result of it being 147 days overdue an E xam. There is also a low level of activity at Llanwern.
09105 is TPWS fitted and my request to have it brought into Newport's Centre of Excellence for pictures today was realised.

Another one bites the dust, with the storage of 09022 at Bescot. Due to this undergoing repairs inside the TMD, it seems the norm now, for EWS to store locos whilst recieving repairs / exams. I would imagine it will be reinstated upon completion though.

With the steel industry dropping off, i would imagine 08776 is inside Thornaby TMD.
Tees Yard contains mainly block wagon loads these days, so i would imagine that DBS ( EWS ) are to continue using the loco to shunt its own train. And it doesn't help that 08776 is on its way out

Day off on thursday so i might take a wander around. Since closure, some locos stay in the yard, some ship out. After a weeks work, the locos head north taking the coast route on saturday morning.

Yesterday ( 10th March ), saw a few more changes, with 2 put into store and 1 reinstated.
The stored are as follows,
08428 - WSSN - WNTR - Doncaster Decoy
08784 - WSSK - WNTR - Doncaster Carr TMD
And the reinstatement,
08922 - WNTR - WSSN - Doncaster Decoy
Due to its arrival at Thomson's, 08402 has been de-registered from TOPS and its WNSO pool.
And to complete the pool changes, the following have been moved from the tactical stored WNTS, to WNTR, which is the stored tactical reserve pool.
08495 - Toton Compound
08757 - Toton TMD
08886 - Bescot TMD
09017 - Newport ADJ
09022 - Bescot TMD
09101 - Doncaster Carr TMD
09107 - Doncaster Carr TMD
Going in the opposite direction is 09001, currently at Doncaster Carr TMD.
And finally, 08567 has gone from WSSN to WSSK at Ketton.

18th March
08428 - WNTR - WSSN - Reinstated at Doncaster Carr
08922 - WSSN - WNTR - Stored at Doncaster Carr
With the reinstatement of 08428, this has now took over the shunting / trip workings at Decoy.
08922 though, this is currently recieving an A exam. On completion, it'll be reinstated back to traffic.
08582 at CF Booth's and 08933 at Merehead, have both been de-registered from TOPS and their WNSO pools. 08933 is now considered to be an industrial shunter, with its new owners being Foster Yeoman.
20th March
08784 - WNTR - WSSN - Reinstated at Ketton Cement
09014 - WSSN - WNTS - Stored at Millerhill
With its return back to Ketton, 08784 has been reinstated to traffic, moving from WNTR to WSSN.
A little confusing with this one, as 09014 has been stored WNTS, transferring from the WSSN pool. This loco is currently at Millerhil, but the WNXX website states it being at Doncaster Carr.
Any confirmation on its actual whereabouts, would be much appreciated.
21st March
08784 was removed from WSSN, being transferred to the construction WSSK pool.

08993 - WSSN - WNTS - Stored at Doncaster Carr
Following its return to Trafford Park, 08737 has been reinstated to traffic and the WSSN pool.
08993, on the other hand, has been removed from Kingmoor and just after its arrival at Doncaster Carr, was put into store, moving from WSSN to WNTS.

Currently recieving an E exam at Toton, 08405 has been stored WNTR. At Tidal, 08752 has also been stored WNTR. Going the other way and following repairs, 09017 has been reinstated to traffic, also at Tidal.
08405 - WSSM - WNTR - Toton TMD
08752 - WSSI - WNTR - Cardiff Tidal
09017 - WNTR - WSSI - Cardiff Tidal

No rest for the wicked as they say, because there has been more !!!
All seemed to happen on the 24th July, and they are,
08510, 08582 and 08955 have all been disposed of at CF Booth's. There was a rumour that 08955 was to be re-sold on, but this deal had fallen through, hence the scrapping.
On arrival at Immingham Reception Sidings and as expected, 09019 has been reinstated to traffic. To complement this, 09023 has gone the other way, and gone into storage.
Most likely to be recieving an exam, 08428 has been stored at Doncaster Carr. Being reinstated however, is 08798. Now, this is a strange move to me, because 08428 was the pilot for Decoy, aswell as being used for trip workings to Roberts Road and Marshgate CE sidings. I very much doubt that 08798 will be its replacement, as this no longer has its TPWS equipment fitted. Whether this will be used as the depot and Wood Yard pilot, i don't know.
To clarify,
08428 - WSSN - WNTR - Doncaster Carr TMD
08798 - WNTS - WSSN - Doncaster Carr TMD / Wood Yard ?
09019 - WNTR - WSSI - Immingham Reception Sidings
09023 - WSSI - WNTR - Immingham Reception Sidings

It seems the transfer into the WFMU for some shunters, was only a temporary one, as apart from 08605, they all have been transferred back into store.
Two more have also been stood down from traffic, those been 08706 and 08907. The full list is as follows,
1st October

08701 - WFMU - WNTR

08711 - WFMU - WNTR
08804 - WFMU - WNTR
08907 - WSSN - WFMU - WNTR

And following its completion of repairs at Bescot, 08886 has been reinstated to traffic.

Finally, and on the 8th December, 08653 has been released back into traffic at Warrington. With it being in store since the 15th October, it has moved back to WSSN from WNTR.
According to the WNXX news page today, the stored 08924 at Motherwell, it is to be removed by road and taken to Tyne Yard for further storage. As of yet, no dates have been issued.

Seen a report that 08924, along with 37427, has been transferred by road from ML to Tyne Yard. Can anyone confirm the transfers?

Thanks for that, after many years of passing the Yard, I've still not seen their 09. A few years ago someone on here confirmed it really was there and even posted the exact spot to look, (back row at the far North end) but no luck on my subsequent trips past.
