been down to teesyard and dawsons, got you some pictures of 08776 and the containers x12 blocking the entry/exit to dawsons dock side,i will send them to u via e-mail
On the 8th December, 08630, 08664, 08922 and 09101, were all put into store.
All three are currently undergoing repairs at Margam and at Doncaster Carr respectively. Once these are completed, i would imagine EWS will reinstate them back to traffic.
Another one put into store is 09017 ( 9th Dec ). As of yet, i have not heard anything, in regards to whether it is due to undergo repairs, so for me, this seems a little strange. 09105 is the other pilot down at ADJ, and i don't know whether it is fitted with TPWS, and if not, then EWS won't have a shunter to do the trip workings between ADJ and East Usk.
Brian and Martin, do you guys have any knowledge on this one and the current situation at ADJ?

08630 is stored in the Battery Road at Margam Depot and no repair work is being currently undertaken and none as far as I am aware is planned. If 08646 or 08770 have a serious failure then 08630 may be repaired.
09017 has been stored unserviceable and maybe as a result of it being 147 days overdue an E xam. There is also a low level of activity at Llanwern.
09105 is TPWS fitted and my request to have it brought into Newport's Centre of Excellence for pictures today was realised. _________________ Regards
08630 is stopped with a defective auto coupler. Presumambly if either 08646 or 08770 fails, one will be removed from 09003 which is stored in the engineers yard. _________________ Regards

They only have instanters and screw linkers on coal hoppers and cement tanks. Not discovered auto couplers in that part of the country yet.Sorry Gazza !
Another one bites the dust, with the storage of 09022 at Bescot. Due to this undergoing repairs inside the TMD, it seems the norm now, for EWS to store locos whilst recieving repairs / exams. I would imagine it will be reinstated upon completion though.
Thats got to be the most stupid reason for stopping a loco ! But then again any excuse these days ! _________________ You cannot beat a bit of Sulzer Thrash !

Where has it gone.
At the moment Tees Yard has no shunter,

With the steel industry dropping off, i would imagine 08776 is inside Thornaby TMD.
Tees Yard contains mainly block wagon loads these days, so i would imagine that DBS ( EWS ) are to continue using the loco to shunt its own train. And it doesn't help that 08776 is on its way out

Some kind of action in Thornaby shed. Normally all doors are closed up, but as i drove past, 2 doors were open in main repair depot and two white vehicles out side poss mobile fitters?????????
Day off on thursday so i might take a wander around. Since closure, some locos stay in the yard, some ship out. After a weeks work, the locos head north taking the coast route on saturday morning.
