Not had word as yet, but Bounds Green looks like a strong possible.

I did hear that one of the pilots was kaput, so maybe it was heading south to replace that. Given that it was on the M1, it would say that it was North London bound. If that is the case, i would imagine that the lorry would take away the out of use shunter to Wabtec.

A massive thanks goes to Norm, who has bought to my attention that it was 08605 that had moved, not 08615 as first thought. As of yet, i've not heard on where 08605 was en-route to though.

My source had given me a bit of second hand gen, not witnessing the move out of Craigentinny himself  Rolling Eyes

Sorry for all the confusion guys, and cheers again Norm  Wink

I have 605 as being at Donny Carr. Did it not move down from Mossend to Carr recently?

It did Phil, but with its exam being completed, it has now been moved to pastures new.

Originally, my source wrongly said that 08615 was on the move. We think this turned out to be 08605 instead.

I say think, because reports state that 08615 was seen heading south around the Chesterfield area, but having an email from our very own Norman this morning, suggest that it was 08605 that was sighted instead.

He has also informed me that 08615 was viewed at Craigentinny on the evening of the 9th, the day when it supposed to have left, so it must've been 08605 that was sighted the other day.

Anybody need 08706 for sight or a photo ?

Had word that it might be on the move shortly, maybe in the next few weeks, as it is currently out of use and showing on TOPS at Ayr TMD. Given the lack of need for a shunter at Falkland Yard anymore, i very much doubt a replacement will be sent for.

Now, this has come from a different and more reliable source, so i hope we don't have any confusion and slip-ups with this one  Rolling Eyes

If the above turns out to be true, that'll be another yard that has lost its shunter to a mainline loco taking over its duties  Crying or Very sad

It was on Ayr TMD back in July when I went passed on the Electric Scot tour.

Could do with 09103 moving south as I never saw this one on the TMD during the same tour.

Most probably 08605 x Carr loco.

The problem with 08665 at Healey Mills is that the track has been taken out either side of it and they cannot get it out by lorry as a low bridge intervenes, so at moment they are snookered.

As Booth's has purchased 08665, it wouldn't be on the M18, unless it was taking the scenic route  Laughing

It looks like it was 08685 from Immingham, heading to Donny Carr for repairs / continued storage.

Wouldn't be 08605 either, as that has already reached its destination. God knows where though, but it was seen heading south on the M1 near Chesterfield, last week.

Looking at it last Sunday ( 13th ), the track is still in place. Granted, it stands on its own on that particular line, but next to it, are the row of class 56's. As for the low bridge, how did the class 47's get taken out. Is this bridge a new build ?

The only viable option then i suppose, is to scrap it on site. There is plenty of room, and it is a fair distance away from the overhead lines.
