08915 reported on the A1 at Newcastle this morning so overnighted somewhere.
Had a kip at Washington services, before continuing on to North Shields and the SRM. You sure it was this morning though, because it had came up from the CVR on the 4th, had its overnight stop, then carried on its journey the next morning ( 5th )

Although the report on Anglia gen definitely said sold by TT and not returning to Colne Valley.
All of the TT / Moveright locos at the CVR, are only there for storage purposes only, so i would think 08915 has been resold on. My north east contact will hopefully bring us some news over the weekend, so watch this space
Would that same contact be able to tell me if its worth a trip to the S.R.M next Sat(14/11/09)as in Newcastle for the day and if its worthwhile would go to the museum to see 03078...and now 08915.
Website says its closed until Santa Special time but I don't know if exhibits can be seen in museum yard from car park/other public place.
Obviously,if possible,would get the site a shot of 03078 .
Any help appreciated as need to do something other than tram spotting

If you've got a bit of time on your hands, then yes, i suppose it wouldn't hurt to go and have a look. I think you may be wasting your time though.
Decent vantage points are virtually nil. The obvious one is the car park, but as it is closed till xmas, the gates will be locked. On the one side of the shed, is a car showroom and a industrial unit. Unfortunately, the unit is barrier protected, and there is a gate by the side of the showroom aswell.
On t'other side, an old railway line has been converted into a footpath. Not sure what the view of the shed will be like from here though, as the area is surrounded by a wire fence. Given that the place will be closed for a short while, i would've thought both locos will be inside the shed anyway.
Its last sighted location was a bit vague, don't you think.

08735 has left Doncaster being observed on a low loader in a lay by off the M1 this morning.
Where exactly by the M1 was it, and did it head north or south
The reinstatement of 09106 though, wouldn't necessarily mean this would be moved on aswell. I would think it will take over the pilot duties at Decoy, doing the trip workings to Roberts Road and Marshgate.
08915 reported on the A1 at Newcastle this morning so overnighted somewhere. Further report that its destined for use on the museum's santa specials so that possibly suggests it may just be hired in?? Although the report on Anglia gen definitely said sold by TT and not returning to Colne Valley.
Had this confirmed this morning. 08915 is on hire from Moveright International, only up until the end of December. As you've said Si, it will be used on the santa specials, before returning to the CVR late December / early January.
I'm told that 08735 should be at Toton. Anyone confirm?
Also advised that exchanges will take place shortly at Mossend (08495 in from Toton, 08993 out to Doncaster) and Eastleigh (IDs unknown, from/to Toton). Also told there is a Doncaster-Toton due, said to be 08623 - if so, what's covering Tinsley?
