Hi

08804 was parked on the fuelling point, you could clearly see the BR logo on the side. I meant plain EWS red without any bodyside markings. Ill upload a picture. (08466 not 488!)

*edit*

The two 08s parked up inside at Toton
The plain EWS Maroon 08 is behind 08466. Incidentally, does anyone know the ID of the red solebarred 08 behind the DVT. 08804 was on the fuelling point so it can't be that

Cheers

I think you owe me a pint Dan, cause i've found some of the answers   Cool

Right then, we'll start with the first picture showing the inside of the shed.

On the left, is either 08701 or 08757. Not sure which one it could be, as both of these 08's, the front ends face north.

Next to this is 08951. That's a definate, cause you can see the RC  lights.

Now the other photo.

Firstly, you have 08561 in blue. Next to this, is 08495. This has now been fitted with the RC equipment, clearly seen on the front end. Looks like it still needs its engine panel doors repainting, before leaving for Tidal.

On the next row, with the DVT, stands 09009. And 08480 is right at the back of the pack, parked by the shed.

Fosters all round me thinks  Wink

If i'm paying, my GBP doesn't buy Fosters! It just about pays for Carlsberg!

Cheers for the shunter IDs.

Apparently, 08653 was seen at Bescot on tuesday ( 1st ), so maybe something else was moved on. Having a browse through the sightings though, everything seems to there  Confused

Had yet another sighting of 08653 this morning. He didn't say what part of the yard it was in, although i did pass the Sandy Lane entrance yesterday, and there was an 08 working in the engineers yard, so that could've been 08653.

If 08886 is in the shed at Bescot what is the 3rd one lined up with 08538 & 08842.

The directions page lists 08844 as being inside so is it this one now in this row?

Thanks
Paul

I was told that it was 08886, but obviously, it was a duff piece of gen  Confused

Doing a bit of detective work, and i think i've worked it out to be 08844.
http://jamesbrowning.fotopic.net/p60664838.html

Looking at other possibilities, 08632 is currently piloting the yards. 08393 and 08709 are outside the shed. 08653 faces the other way, compared to the photo, so it looks likely that it will be 08844.

I will have to pop down over the weekend, and get confirmation.

Went down to Bescot this afternoon, just to get confirmation. Arriving around 3.00, this is what was what.

Depot

08709 is currently parked behind the re-railing coaches. 08393 looked like it had been shunting a rake of wagons, as that was ticking over, about 100 yards away from the shed.

On the far line, nearest the house's, stood 08538, 08842 & 08844. This number was just about visable through my bins, but you can clearly see the nameplate on its toolbox.

For those interested, the re-railing coaches are - 975613, 975574 & 975611. Also present, was a track machine / RHTT thingy, which was 98908.

Yard

Parked adjacent to the station was 08632. The usual demics were in the same positions, down by the control tower. Suprisingly for a saturday afternoon, the engineers yard was empty, locos wise.
Plasser & Theurer track machine 73920 was also by the station.

Of note, 60049 was parked at the north end of the yard, not long arrived with the 0Z98 Peak Forest - Bescot.

Other locos on view,
60019 by control tower, 66173 and track machine 98953 south yard, 66197 in the virtual quarry sidings.
Two other track machines were in the yard, those being 98907, which was parked by the 3 stored 08's, and 98970 was by 60019.

Arriving light engine at 15.47, was 66103, which took position down in the south yard.

Hams Hall

Popped in, just out of chance really. No GBRf 66/7's on view, just is why i went, but 09022 was parked way down in the FLT, far to far away for my tiny zoom lens  Crying or Very sad

Goodmans Yard

Didn't expect any new arrivals, but went anyway. Gates were locked, so i didn't stick around too long.

LH Group

Went, hopefully for a piccy of 08873. Guess what, i only went and got one  Cool Dam fence was in the flamin' way though, to get a decent one. Next visit, i'm either gonna take a pair of step ladders or some bolt cutters, and have the bloody thing cut down  Twisted Evil

Anyway, bit of news - 08691 is currently parked on a trailer, by the Travelodge. Come monday morning, it'll be leaving for Maritime, or somewhere else  Confused

08077 - still in the yard, along with the 4 ind shunters, all of which have had their numbers removed.
08785 & 08873 - parked together, nearest the footpath, with 08873 closest to the building.
08730 & ind shunter - parked on next line. The ind shunter has the letters DSM on the side, but does not carry any numbers
http://i1008.photobucket.com/albu...oncretebob/IndShunter-LHGroup.jpg

08891 & 08823 - parked on the further line, with 08891 nearest the buildings.

Just a quick note, part of the style is hanging by a thread, or should that be splinter, so watch your step  Laughing

That is it, off to Toton & Derby tomorrow, to try and cop the 2 Allerton arrivals. If you see a chap with black combats & sandy coloured boots at Toton, that'll be me, so no trying to push me down the bank please  Wink

That shouldn't be a problem. I can't see it leaving so soon after its arrival.
